Atlanta Review International Poetry Competition
Entry fee: 1 or 2 poems, $10; 3 or 4 poems $15; up to 7 poems, $20; up to 10 poems $25, for online submissions; If you prefer to use the postal service, the cost is $5 for the first poem and $3 for each poem thereafter.
Prizes: $1,000 and publication in the October Contest Issue of the Atlanta Review for first place; 19 other poems will also be published; in addition there will be 30 international merit awards selected; those authors will have their names published in the Atlanta Review, and will receive a certificate and a free contest issue.
Deadline:March 1, 2013

The contest will be judged by the Editor of Atlanta Review. Previous Grand Prize winners and associates, friends or students of the judge are not eligible. Poems must be your original creative work, not published in a national print publication (online or strictly local publication is permitted, as long as you hold the copyright). Fish Publishing (Ireland) Flash Fiction Award
Entry fee: Online 1st entry: €14.00 ; subsequent €8.00; Postal Entry: 1st entry: €16.00 ; subsequent €10.00
Prizes: Ten stories will be published in the 2013 Fish Anthology. The first place writer will be awarded €1,000 ( approx.. $1,300 US dollars). The ten published authors will be invited to read at the launch during the West Cork Literary Festival in July. Judge: Peter Benson
Deadline: Feb. 28, 2013

Maximum Length: 300 words. This is the opportunity to attempt a difficult and rewarding writing task. To create, in a tiny fragment, a completely resolved and compelling story. No entry form is required. Entry is online or by post is required; enter as many times as you wish; Do not send postal orders (outside Ireland); make cheques out in your own currency; open to writers of any nationality, writing in English; no restrictions on theme or style; may not have been previously published; include a cover sheet with contact information; make sure the author’s name is not included elsewhere on the entry. Binghamton University Poetry and Fiction Books Awards—for Publishers
Entry fee: none
Prizes: $1,000 award for a book of poems, 48 pages or more in length, selection by their judges as the strongest collection of poems published in 2012; minimum press run: 500. $1,000 for the book of fiction selected by their judges to be the strongest novel or collection of fiction published in 2012; minimum press run: 500 copies.
Three copies of each book may be submitted for consideration. Each must have an application form accompanying the books.
Deadline: March 1, 2013

The publisher may submit more than one book for prize consideration. Three copies of each book should be sent to Maria Mazziotti Gillan, Director, Creative Writing Program, Binghamton University, Department of English, General Literature and Rhetoric Library; Library North 1149 Vestal Parkway East. Finishing Line Press Poetry Award–New Women’s Voices Chapbook Competition
Entry fee: $15
Prizes: $1,000 and publication by Finishing Line Press is given annually for a poetry chapbook by a woman who has not published a full-length collection. In addition to the finalist, they also select 10 semi-finalists who will be offered publication.
Deadline: Feb. 15, 2013

Submit up to 26 pages of poetry, PLUS a bio, acknowledgments, SASE and cover letter with a $15 entry fee (pay by check, money order or pay online using your credit card at the web address below. Previous chapbook publication does not disqualify, international entries are welcome. Multiple submissions are acceptable. Leah Maines will judge. All entries will be considered for publication. The Pinch Contests for Poetry, Fiction and Creative Non-fiction
Entry fee: $20 for the first entry; $10 for each subsequent entry. An entry in the poetry contest is 1-3 poems; please include $10 for each group of three poems after the initial entry. Poems need not be related. Please make checks payable to The University of Memphis Foundation. No cash please. The $20 entry fee also includes one issue of The Pinch. Additional postage charge for international subscriptions.

Tupelo Press: Snowbound Chapbook Award, Poetry
Entry fee: $23 per entry (US) by check or Pay Pal must accompany each submission. If sending a check, please make it payable to Tupelo Press, Inc. multiple submissions are accepted, so long as each submission is accompanied by a separate $23 reading fee.
Prizes: The chapbook award includes a cash award of $1,000 and 25 copies of the book, in addition to publication by Tupelo Press, a book launch, and national distribution with energetic publicity and promotion. Manuscripts are judged anonymously. All finalists will also be considered for publication. This competition is open to any poet writing in English. Previously published poems with proper acknowledgment are acceptable. Translations are not eligible nor are previously self-published books. Employees of Tupelo Press and authors previously published by Tupelo Press are not eligible.
Deadline: Postmark or online submission date: February 28, 2013

Requirements: Submit 20-36 pages of poems, plus SASE and reading fee. Manuscripts should be on good quality paper, paginated consecutively, with a table of contents and acknowledgments, and bound with a clip. Include two cover pages, one with only the title of the manuscript and a second with your name, address, telephone number(s), email address and title of the manuscript.
