The Book House in Maplewood

A book club dedicated to the appreciation and study of art, design, and visual culture. Our group is open to artists, designers, architects, curators, critics, and art/design enthusiasts of all stripes. Interdisciplinary thinking and exchange is encouraged! Book selections will touch on diverse subjects related to art and design: fine art, art theory and criticism, graphic and industrial design, architecture and urban design. We will mostly focus on non-fiction, criticism, and essays, with occasional fiction selections.

Our goal is to enrich our understanding of contemporary art and design through reading and lively discussion. We will meet on Third Thursdays of the month from 6pm–8pm at the Book House in Maplewood. Future meetings make take place at arts and cultural venues around the St. Louis region. Come ready to snack, drink, and talk!
